California’s new privacy law is the most comprehensive in the nation. It gives Californian’s the right to see what information has been collected about them, to whom it has been disclosed, and gives them the right to request information be permanently deleted.
Here is a list and of the more than 120 students privacy laws passed between 2013 to mid-2018 by U.S. states. Also included is a summary of each bill. Only Vermont has not introduced a student privacy bill within that time period.
